The e-commerce automation stack, without Klaviyo's per-profile tax
Klaviyo charges per active profile, tops out on automation count, and owns your sending. FlowingMail replicates abandoned-cart, browse-abandon, post-purchase, win-back, and VIP flows - priced flat, with no cap on automations, on the email provider of your choice.
Why e-commerce teams switch from Klaviyo
Klaviyo is a great product. It's also expensive at scale and locks you into their sending stack. FlowingMail addresses both.
- Flat monthly pricing instead of per-profile billing that punishes growth
- Unlimited flows on every plan - no per-automation count
- Use your own provider (SES, Resend, SendGrid, Mailgun) - keep your sender reputation
- Single source of truth for marketing + transactional - no duplicate contact syncing
- Trigger flows from any webhook source - point Shopify, WooCommerce, or your own backend at /v1/flows/{id}/trigger
- Clean REST API for programmatic flow triggers, contact upserts, and attribute updates
The e-commerce flows you already run, rebuilt in minutes
Abandoned cart & browse abandon
Trigger on a Shopify webhook (checkout.started, product.viewed), delay N hours, branch on purchase, send reminder.
Post-purchase sequences
Receipt → product tips → review request → cross-sell - visually composed, per-SKU conditional.
VIP & win-back
Segment on lifetime value, last-order-date, total orders. Trigger VIP rewards or win-back flows automatically.
Trigger from any e-commerce platform
Point Shopify, WooCommerce, or BigCommerce webhooks at /v1/flows/{id}/trigger and turn order events into automation triggers.
FlowingMail vs Klaviyo
Switching from Klaviyo - FAQ
No - FlowingMail is email-only. If SMS is core to your marketing mix, Klaviyo's integrated SMS channel is a real differentiator. For email-first teams, or teams willing to pair FlowingMail with a dedicated SMS provider (Twilio, MessageBird), the flat pricing makes it worthwhile.
Not today - FlowingMail doesn't track orders or compute revenue-per-flow out of the box. You can export click events via the /v1/events endpoint and match them to orders in your warehouse. If revenue attribution is core to your stack, Klaviyo is still the better fit.
Klaviyo relies on its own sending infrastructure and reputation. When you move to your own SES / Resend / SendGrid account, deliverability depends on your sender reputation. Most established senders match or exceed Klaviyo's deliverability within a week of proper domain authentication.
Export segments as CSV (in Klaviyo: Audience → Segments → Export) and upload via FlowingMail's Contacts import, or stream contacts via the /v1/contacts/batch endpoint. Re-create flows visually - every Klaviyo flow step has a direct FlowingMail equivalent.
Yes. The Free plan is permanent: 5 flows, 25,000 contacts, 2 senders, and API access. Enough to set up your abandoned-cart flow and prove deliverability before switching a full store over.
Klaviyo's predictive models are a genuine feature. FlowingMail relies on explicit attributes you compute yourself (or ingest from your data warehouse). For teams without a data stack, this is a trade-off - simpler pricing, more manual segmentation.
